Preserving... A Tradition of Excellence
The Fairfield Union Music Alumni Association was formed in 2018 by alumni who were, and continue to be, a part of the paramount musical history at Fairfield Union High School in Lancaster Ohio.
Together with our families and supportive members of the community, we pursue our mission of “Preserving... A Tradition of Excellence” within the District and promoting fellowship among current and future alumni while supporting and strengthening the District’s mission for the benefit of its current music students.
To that end, our goals set forth are:
To develop a comprehensive database of all music alumni.
To assist with the planning and organization of reunions, events and performances.
To provide undergraduate scholarships.
To assist in familiarizing newly hired music staff of the traditions within all music programs and the expectations of our community.
To provide an outlet for alumni to share past experiences and reminisce with other alums that share the same pride.
In addition to alumni-focused events, we are always on the lookout for ways to encourage and inspire Fairfield Union's current and prospective music students.
Our alumni come together annually to perform together again with participants ranging from the birth of the district to the most recent graduates.
We sponsor "Marching Falcon for a Day" in collaboration with the Fairfield Union Music Boosters where students grade 2 thru 7 get "hands-on" and experience what it's like to a part of the marching band.
The "Falcon Fall Festival" brings together bands from around central Ohio to strut their stuff and cheer each other on.
In concert with parents and the Boosters, FUMAA readily supports the performing arts at Fairfield Union in whatever way we can.
We also fund a scholarship, awarded to graduates who have poured themselves into these programs.
